Start your day by boarding the transfer for your South Day Tour of Mauritius.
You'll visit the Historic Marine Mesume, the largest ship model factory in Mauritius. Next, head to Trou aux Cerfs, a dormant volcano offering panoramic views of the island. After that visit, Grand Basin, a sacred crater lake for Hindus, & see the 33-meter tall statue of Lord Shiva.

In the morning, prepare for a North Island Tour of Mauritius. You will be transferred to visit the Fort Adelaide for panoramic views of Port Louis and its harbor. Visit the Champ de Mars race course, the oldest horse-racing club in the Southern Hemisphere.

  • Clothing - When visiting Mauritius, t is important to pack for the weather, which can vary from hot to warm during the day, and moderate at night. Therefore, it is recommended to bring multiple sets of light cotton clothes, including long-sleeves, short-sleeve T-shirts, Bikinis and shorts. It's also essential to bring multiple sets of undergarments, a pair of socks, a small towel, a windcheater jacket (deserts can be cold at night), conservative clothing, and a shawl or scarf to cover the head.
  • Sunglasses and Sun cap - A lightweight sun cap and sunglass with side flaps are perfect to keep your head cool and avoid sunburns on a sunny day
  • Cold Cream & Sun Screen (SPF 40+): To avoid sunburns and chafing, you need to put on sunscreen as well as cold cream.
  • Footwear - A comfortable shoe is required when traveling outdoors. They shouldn’t be chunky, instead, they should be lightweight and sturdy. Also advised to carry some sandals it will help you in spending your day at leisure.
  • Water Bottle 1 Ltr.: Hydration is extremely important when it comes to traveling. Carrying a water bottle that you can refill.
  • Medication - It is advisable to pack some essential medications, such as glucose powder, medicines for headaches, diarrhea, and motion sickness, Dettol (an antiseptic liquid), bandages, cotton, and sanitary napkins.
  • Bag for all your Toiletries: A bag with all your essentials including napkins, toothpaste, sanitizers, paper soap, etc. should be carried in a ziplock bag.

  • 1) What is the best way to travel to Mauritius?
    A: The quickest way to travel to Mauritius is by booking a flight from India to Mauritius. The shortest flight would be a direct one from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi to the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport in Port Louis (the capital city of Mauritius). The flight duration is around 6-7 hours on average. You can also catch flights from Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai.
    2) Can I travel to Mauritius by sea?
    A: If you’d like to take the long, leisurely and luxurious route to Mauritius, then a cruise is ideal. You can start your trip at the Chennai or Mumbai port. The trip from Mumbai is around 13 days, while the trip from Chennai is 12 days long. If you’re already in a close location – say Madagascar – a short boat ride should get you to Mauritius.

    A: India is one hour and thirty minutes ahead of Mauritius.
    4) Is Mauritius a safe destination?

There are three operators in Mauritius, from whom you can buy a prepaid sim – Emtel, Orange and Chilli. If you are visiting the Rodrigues Islands or Agalega, Orange has the best connectivity. Your hotel will provide Wi-Fi, and you can also look at cafes for Wi-Fi.
